With all the summer festivals coming up in Australia, we were asked by Sportsgirlto style our own festival looks from their current collection. You can check out the full article here, but we also thought we'd post a few extra photos from our shoots for everyone to see. FYI Sportsgirl liked our DIY bumbag idea so much that they're offering a free cosmetic bag with every online order when you enter the promo code "howtwolive" at checkout (while stocks last). We're a promo code, how cool!
Went to an event at Danish store 'Dansk' on Chapel Street to sip on a champagne (or two) and view their latest collections.Having been to Copenhagen a few months ago where I absolutely fell in love with so many of the local labels, I was seriously excited to be invited along to check it all out. Even left with an awesome pair of sunglasses by their house label, which are no doubt about to become a very regular feature on the blog.

While apart from each other we obviously managed to end up with the same pair of pants, so thought we'd throw in a bonus post for the day and style them in two different ways. While we sometimes get comments on our different styles, the truth is we share absolutely everything and when not on the blog we wear each other's outfits....so these outfits were styled together, Stef's a little more on the rock chick side, and Jess's showing off our crazy and colourful signature style.

Finally back together again! And what better way to spend our reunion than between the pool and the park with our favourite puppy. The three of us had an epic day of tanning and catching up, and Bo even learnt how to swim. Only just back and we're already busy at work planning what's coming next for HTL...which is starting with a bonus post coming later today!

Learnt Our puppy really knows how to pull an HTL pout.
Finally went to Gardiner and Field for lunch yesterday after weeks of trying to get there. The quinoa salad I had was definitely delicious but props had to go to my choc milkshake which arrived in a cold metal cup, major win... and seriously brought me back to our old High Street Caf days! Don't think I could be loving on your Europe wardrobe more. This jacket is literally the most amazing thing I've ever seen (and felt), never taking it off!!

After so much time spent combing through blogs, asking people for recommendations, and walking the streets to find the best places to eat, drink, and shop in Paris, I thought I would pass on my knowledge with a final Paris post of my favourites and absolute must-visits if you're every in town. I have a million things I could add here but thought I’d keep it
to top fives (trying to cut down was a serious struggle), feel free to email us
if you want the whole list!
Best places to eat in Paris
Rose Bakery 30Rue Debelleyme, 3rd, One of the coolest cafes in Paris, the best quiche I’ve ever had in my life, delicious salads and other counter foods, and they make what has been declared the best omelette in Paris.
Marcel 1 Villa Leandre, 18th, British inspired really cute café near Montmartre, everything on the menu is to die for. Their porridge is life changing.
L’as Du Falafel 34 Rue des Rosiers, 4th, Their world-famous falafel is a must, and also recently discovered their schnitzel is equally delicious.
Le Square Trousseau 1 Rue Antoine Vollon, 12th, Our favourite Friday night French meal, this brasserie makes incredible traditional French foods, and even has a Pavlova on the menu which we cannot stop talking about.
Takara 14 Rue Moliere, 1st, I didn’t think I’d ever find myself recommending Japanese food in Paris but this is one of the best Japanese places I’ve ever eaten at. Ever.
Best places to drink in Paris (coffee, obviously)
Kookaboora 16 Rue des Martyrs, 9th, Aussie style coffee in a cute little café – like a taste of Melbourne in Paris.
La Cafeoteque 52 Rue de l’Hotel de ville, 4th, They have a huge variety of coffee beans from all around the world, but don't worry they'll also answer to just 'latte'.
10 Belles 10 Rue de la Granges aux Belles, 10th, Another cute little Aussie place that’s only just opened, great coffee and good lunch spot too.
Merce and the Muse 1bis Rue Charles-Francois Dupuis, 3rd, A quaint Brooklyn-style coffee shop that seriously knows their coffee, and also do great brunch platters and salad plates.
Coutume 47 Rue de Babylone, 7th,I’d give the food a miss but their coffee is up there with the best.
Best places to shop in Paris (all have men's and women's fashion except for Manoush)
Bubblewood 4 Rue Elzevir, 3rd, In a city where people prefer to stick to a colour palette of black and grey, this store is a refreshing find with cool and colourful fashion, and really reasonabe pricing.
Manoush 75 Rue Vieille du Temple, 3rd, Their store kind of feels like a clown exploded - in an amazing way.
Kilo Shop 69-71 Rue de la Verrerie, 4th, Buy vintage by weight – I picked up an awesome 70's top for only 3 euros!
RA, 14 Rue de la Corderie, 3rd,Walking in here you’ll feel like you stepped into Lady Gaga’s closet - seriously cool and over-the-top pieces.
Kokon to Zai 48 Rue Tiquetonne, 2nd, Another shop where everything is crazy and out there (sensing a theme here?) and their pieces have a very Japanese feel.
And bonus recommendation which I had to add in because it was one of the highlights of Paris...if you want to learn how to make a mean croissant (or macaron or eclair), go to a French cooking class at La Cuisine Paris. Classes are in English and I'm planning on taking everything I learnt back to Australia so I can still eat a real Parisian pastry whenever I get the urge (which at the moment is daily). Book a few weeks in advance. Sxx
Felt like a change from the usual dinner choice of Hanoi (as I was there both nights prior) so we headed to Hooked for a delicious fishy feast. I opted for the grilled house fish with salad but I got a little excited with the never ending supply of Big Red and turned my dinner into ketchup with a side of snapper more than anything else. Was very tempted to sneak next door to LOTF for some takeaway onion rings but decided you'd be too jealous so I'm waiting until you're home - which is today! YAY!!

After 5 months spent in my favourite city in the world (or at least one of my top 3!), it's finally time to come home. Despite my hardest efforts to convince myself that I want to be leaving, I've failed to come up with a single thing that I don't like about being here...well aside from the fact that every time I spend more than 2 minutes outside my whole body freezes and I declare that I must be getting pneumonia - although this is likely due to the fact that I choose fashion over warmth every time. So it's with a lot of grief and a knew knowledge of how to ship your entire wardrobe half way across the world that I say: Au revoir Paris. See you soon J!

Headed to the Friend Of Mine sample sale at Down Yonder yesterday, so devo that you just miss it! Was hoping to find a couple of Tarzan (or nappy) skirts but when they were nowhere to be seen I settled for an amazing pair of red pants and a bag that I've had my eye on for months. Was a little underwhelmed with the outfit choice when I left home in the morning but the weird looks I consistently received throughout the day confirmed that I did indeed look like a freak. Mission accomplished!

At the risk of becoming one of those idiots who does something illegal and posts it on the internet, here is a picture of the time we broke into...well I'm not really sure what it was exactly but there was definitely some sort of 'do not enter' sign. There's not much I won't do these days for a good style snap. I'm running seriously low on winter outfits but luckily had two amazing pieces I hadn't worn yet - the Sportsgirl pants, and top by new fave label Mad Love!

Summer has finally arrived and I literally could not be more excited. I felt that blue skies and 28 degree weather called for tanning and cider by the pool so that's exactly how I spent my day. Following this was a BBQ at Dame's where we put on a spread which impressively met the dietary requirements of every carnivore, pescetarian and vegetarian there. Borrowed this adorable playsuit from Charlotte for the evening but have now decided I want to invest in one for us... frills and florals, what could be better?

Opted for The fish, can't go wrong with a good snapper!
Today's HTL was originally taken as a test shot for a shoot we were doing, but after turning out to actually be quite a cool photo it was promoted to style snap. As you know I can't say what the actual shoot was for but that will be revealed soon! We chose a bridge over the Seine River for the location to get some great shots of Paris, which just made me more sad that I barely have any time left here...excited to see you but can't believe I have to say goodbye to this magical place!

Met Jade for breakfast at Las Chicas this morning - firstly, food was seriously delicious, can't wait for you to be living around the corner from there! But what I got really excited about was the bear look-a-like on the table next to me! It was the most gorgeous golden retriever (second to bear of course) and it's owner kept sneaking it bites of her scone under the table. Was so cute, I am now eagerly awaiting Milou's arrival, wish it was February already!

In my quest to show Jerome the best of Paris in the one short week he's here we've been hitting up 2-3 cafes daily. Today we visited Les Enfants Rouges Market - it's kind of like Prahran Market but with really cool little cafes everywhere. There was a huge line for this amazing looking Moroccan place so we opted for Japanese breakfast which was delicious. It's been a while since I rocked some double print, so I decided to get back into it with this outfit courtesy of the package you sent me.

Had fam dinner at Naomi's this week which was so nice, particularly because it meant I got to play with Carri bear all night... definitely missed you and Jerome though not gonna lie. Been so excited to show you these pants and cannot wait for you to see them in person, they're absolutely amazing! I got lots of compliments on my attention to detail which was hilarious - everyone was so impressed that I had matched my toe nail polish colour with the colour of the pants... it was totally unintentional but I took credit for it anyway.
Jerome and I have come down to Lyon to spend a couple of days with Meme (aka grandma). We decided to head into town for the afternoon, and while on our way to the Metro station we ended up slightly lost and wandered into this incredible secret garden that was complete with an old wooden swing and a chicken coop! Almost found ourselves in trouble when we were discovered by the owners, but played the clueless tourists and pulled out the thick Aussie accents, and we soon had them giving us a tour of the place. Gotta love the Australia card, works every time.
